Heely becomes a strategic partner for the Finnish Ice Hockey Association

The signed agreement will make Heely an important partner for the Ice Hockey Association in developing teams’ health and performance monitoring as well as follow-up. The cooperation encompasses boys’ teams from U16 to U20 and women’s N18 team as well as the Women’s national team. The partnership is in line with Heely’s growth strategy which focuses especially on enabling long and healthy careers for young players through injury prevention and better data collection. With Heely, the national teams can improve analysis related to injury risk, efficient recovery and for example understanding reasons behind absences.

Heely is the first service which combines clinical health data and performance monitoring. It also enables dynamic record keeping regardless of time and place as athletes own and control their own health data.

“Fragmented health data has always been an issue in sports. While services like the Kanta system in Finland cover a wide range of health information, they lack the dynamic capabilities required to meet the demands of professional sports. Furthermore, these systems do not encompass performance-related records and general health observations of a person. Heely covers all of these.”, says Niklas Lindblad, the Lead Physician of the Finnish Ice Hockey Association.
